Opportunities for Giving

Every day, we are presented with opportunities to make a difference in the quality of life in our community and investing today in the Lima Convalescent Home Foundation is an investment for tomorrow. Perhaps there is no greater opportunity than one that allows us to give back to some special individuals, the elderly. After all, their many years of contributions have built and strengthened our community as we enjoy it today.

Preserving the dignity of old age and providing a level of care that is comforting for the elderly is the heart of the Lima Convalescent Home Foundation mission. Our goal is to give our residents a home for the rest of their lives. Your contribution to the Foundation's Endowment Fund serves to provide a comfortable home for our residents whose private funds become depleted. The Endowment Fund was developed to provide "Resident Care Grants" for residents whose private assets no longer cover the cost of living at the Lima Convalescent Home.

We have always depended on the kindness and generosity of our friends... It is important for those of you who have not chosen to give, an for those who have given, to consider giving again. Your support is crucial. It is and investment that will make a real difference in your life and the lives of those you love. You can make a tax-deductible gift to the Lima Convalescent Home Foundation through Estate Planning, Charitable Gift Annuities, Memorial Contributions and/or becoming a member of the "Friends of the Foundation."

What is the Friends of the Foundation?"

The "Friends of the Foundation" was created to perpetuate the Endowment Fund which serves to provide a comfortable home for those residents whose private funds become depleted.

What is the Endowment Fund?

This fund was developed to provide "Resident Care Grants" for residents whose private assets no longer cover the cost of living at Lima Convalescent Home. Over the last fifteen years, The Endowment Fund has provided over $2.0 million in charitable care to residents of the Lima Convalescent Home. Because we choose not to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs, we have established The Resident Care Grants as our way of meeting the needs of our residents

How do I become a member of the "Friends of the Foundation?"

It's simple! You can become a member of this distinguished organization while helping to make a difference in the quality of life in our community for the elderly by a modest annual contribution of $100.00 or more to the Endowment Fund.
